A Diver gets attacked by a giant Goliath Grouper

What started out as what should have been a fun experience of spearfishing turned into a scare for this fisherman.

According to Wikipedia, spearfishing is an ancient method of fishing and may be conducted with an ordinary spear or a specialized variant.

As you will see in the video below, this spearfisherman, who had dived underwater, had caught a medium-sized fish and was reeling it in when a grouper attacked him.

Groupers are a kind of fish that typically have a stout body and a large mouth. They can be quite large, and could be over a meter in length and could weigh up to 100 kg. They swallow prey rather than biting pieces off it.

And it really did swallow the fish the spearfisherman caught in a matter of seconds! Just as the spearfisherman held the fish he caught in his hands, the grouper suddenly appeared, swallowing the fish hole and probably almost biting the man’s hand with it.

Thankfully, the spearfisherman looked like he got off unscathed.
