A car was turned into an epic "ice sculpture" because of freezing temperatures in New York

It may look like a modern art ice sculpture but there's a real car underneath all that ice.

According to reports, Justin Yelen, the 24-year-old owner of the frozen car in Lake Erie near Buffalo, New York, left his car there because he didn't want to drive home as he had gone drinking with friends.

However, after leaving it overnight under lake-effect snow conditions, the sedan had turned into what was dubbed as a 'carsicle'. The photo of said frozen car had gone viral after the local broadcast news, WKBW-TV, shared it on social media.

It had since then been removed from its resting spot, leaving an equally remarkable ice shell, then really turning the ice left into what people are calling mother nature's beautiful piece of art.
